EnSight is a new demonstration project of the SRRC@D. It is focused on Energy Conservation. 50% of the initial funding will come through SRRC&D, and 50% through individual EnSight Customers.
What It Costs You can SAVE $300 if you order your scan during this demonstration phase. For a limited time Suwannee River RC&D is going to pay 50% of your costs for an average size home (Up to 3000 sq. ft.). The homeowner will SAVE $300. For all homes and commercial properties over 3000 sq. ft. there is an additional charge of $ 0.10 cents per sq. ft.
What You Get - Easy to understand report that provides thermographic images
- Digital images & Temperature information (This will help you determine what may need corrective action)
- R-value calculations (From these R-values calculations will be performed to determine annual dollar and energy savings.)

Why is EnSight being Developed? |
|
The cost of all forms of existing energy is increasing. Long term expectations suggest that energy development and conservation will remain a top priority at the state and federal level for many years to come. Grant dollars should be available for programs that have successfully demonstrated sound energy conservation practices. EnSight believes that some grant dollars are necessary to upgrade many homes and buildings to acceptable energy efficient standards; especially those with moderate, low or fixed incomes.

What are some ways that Infrared can be used? |
|
Infrared thermography can be used to find areas of missing insulation, leakage in roofs, and walls, without having to actually invade them. It is possible to see where structures are losing or wasting energy.

It is possible that your home could have not just one, but many areas where your heating and air are escaping. There's no good way to find apart from our EnSight Infrared Scan!

What is Infrared Thermography?
 Heat is referred to as the transfer of electromagnetic energy, in the infrared band, through conduction, convection or radiation. The measurement of the transfer of this infrared energy is called temperature. Infrared energy is invisible to the human eye but can be felt, sensed, and measured.
Why Use Infrared Cameras?
 Doctors use temperature in disease diagnosis, in a similar way infrared thermography allows us to diagnose and pinpoint potential problems based on the temperature differential of areas. Infrared study of blood flow in legs showing injured right ankle and weight transferred to left leg.
